Welcome

I would love to invite you into my home to have a cup of tea with me. We could sit in my sunny kitchen and talk about all the things that are going on in our lives. I could share with you the news I hear from my grown daughters. How my grandkids are growing. We could laugh together over the funny things that they have said. It would be fun to share the ins and outs of our family life, and talk about our latest creative projects. We could share what God has been teaching us, in our personal lives, and encourage each other on this walk of faith. We could pray together, laugh together, and even cry together. Since most of us will never be able to sit down together face to face, I would like to invite you to join me here. So come on in and have a cup of tea with me.

About Me

Crossville, Tennessee, United States
I am a 61 year old, wife, married to my best friend for 40 years. We have been blessed with 6 children, & 13 grandchildren. I love mentoring women in their spritual walk & in the everyday. I have a diverse background, having spent over 30 years living and ministering in a small South American country. Now my family resides in a small town in the lovely state of Tennessee. We have experienced the blessing of adoption, but also the hard of dealing with a child with RAD and other mental health issues. You can live life with the cup half full or half empty the choice is yours. I choose half full.

Time to pack up...

Here we are all on the porch of the cabin we got to stay in last week! In case you don't recognize everyone, here's the order left to right... Shane, Ashley, Lexi, Tony, Joy, Teddy(down front), Jonathan, Mike, Ioan(on the rail), and Mandie.

Ashley's wedding was beautiful, and I will try and post some pictures as soon as I have some!

It is hard to believe that our time in the US is almost over. Ashley's wedding was beautiful. We had a wonderful time having our family all together. It was also a great time to visit with friends and family too.

Last Sunday we went to a church in Asbury, TN. Lexi and Jonathan were here and went with us. We really enjoyed having a few extra days to visit with them after the wedding.

Monday night, we stayed in Pigeon Forge with Tony's Mom, and his sisters and their families. That was a lot of fun too. We drove back to Crossville on Tuesday and met Shane and Ashley here, packing up the van. After lunch they headed back to Springfield.

Now we are just trying to pack up our stuff. You always end up with way more stuff than you can ever take with you, and right now is the normal summer embargo on flights going into Quito, so we are only allowed to take 2 suitcases each at 50 pounds. You can't even pay for overweight or an extra bag... so we are packing, repacking, and packing again. :-)

We really appreciate your prayers for our family, as we are once again, spread out... also thank you for prayers for the work in Manta.

God bless you as you serve him!
Joy
