Welcome

I would love to invite you into my home to have a cup of tea with me. We could sit in my sunny kitchen and talk about all the things that are going on in our lives. I could share with you the news I hear from my grown daughters. How my grandkids are growing. We could laugh together over the funny things that they have said. It would be fun to share the ins and outs of our family life, and talk about our latest creative projects. We could share what God has been teaching us, in our personal lives, and encourage each other on this walk of faith. We could pray together, laugh together, and even cry together. Since most of us will never be able to sit down together face to face, I would like to invite you to join me here. So come on in and have a cup of tea with me.

About Me

I am a 61 year old, wife, married to my best friend for 40 years. We have been blessed with 6 children, & 13 grandchildren. I love mentoring women in their spritual walk & in the everyday. I have a diverse background, having spent over 30 years living and ministering in a small South American country. Now my family resides in a small town in the lovely state of Tennessee. We have experienced the blessing of adoption, but also the hard of dealing with a child with RAD and other mental health issues. You can live life with the cup half full or half empty the choice is yours. I choose half full.

December 8...

Good morning everyone! I pray that you had a wonderful week-end. We had a very busy day yesterday, but one full of blessings.

113 people attended the worship service. The ladies choir sang and did a great job. We had a man visit for the first time and others return for their 2nd or 3rd visit.

In the afternoon 16 men plus Teddy went to the property and worked. They worked really hard and did a great job. While the men were working at the property, the Ladies had a Baby Shower at the church for Melanea. We had 28 ladies attend and had a great time of fun and fellowship. I have posted some pictures below be sure to check them out. Also below them are pictures from our Ladies Day last week. I hope you enjoy them!

I have a very special prayer request for you this week. As you know we have requested prayer many times for Zonia, a dear lady in our church who as been battling cancer for a long time. She is now at the point of just having days to live. Please continue to keep her in your prayers, but just not her, also her family. Melanea is her daughter. If you can imagine the highs and lows she is facing at this time. One side there is filled with incredible joy as the birth of her first baby is very soon... yet on the other hand there is extreme sadness as her precious mother is dying. We know that God is in control and that he loves each one of us very much...more than we can even imagine. What a blessing to know that he has only the best in mind for Zonia and for Melanea even though we can't always see that. Please pray that Melanea and her sister Dina will be comforted during this time. Pray that Zonia will be comforted and that her pain will be eased.

Pray for Tony and I as we minister to this dear family during the next week, and also prepare for our trip to the US for our daughter's wedding.

Pictures from the Baby Shower...

These pictures were taken last night at the Baby Shower we had for Melanea. 28 ladies came. We had a great time of fun and fellowship. Please be praying for Melanea. This is such a joyous time for her and Luis, yet at the same time her mother dying of cancer and only has a matter of days. We know that God is in control and that he will provide the comfort that she needs, but I ask you to especially be remembering this sweet young woman in your prayers during the next days and weeks.
